Our favorite spring things to do in Fort Wayne
Hey Locals,
We’re back this week with another edition of Local Insights from our team – what we’ve been eating, reading and enjoying in Fort Wayne this spring.
Today’s newsletter features recommendations from:
- Kara Hackett, Editor and Co-Founder of The Local
- Mike Metzler, Operations and Co-Founder
- Jeff Blossom, Photojournalism Contributor
- Chrystel Lopez, Briefs + To Do List Contributor
- Rachel Horton, Above the Fold Contributor
If you missed our first edition, you can find that here.
Now, let’s dive in.
Restaurants we’ve been enjoying:
Kara: Breakfast Burritos at Kanela Southwest! Vanilla cold foam at Conjure. We also recently went to Bistro Nota for the first time and got the Nota Salad and Beef Stroganoff. Both were very good and huge portions! Don't forget warm cookies for dessert.
Mike: Kanela, Zesto Ice Cream.
Jeff: Friendly Fox, YUMMY BOWL Mongolian Stir-fry and sushi, Oh Five Scoop Shop, Thai Garden (Leo Road) and El Viejon No. 2 (Mexican) and Fresh Uramaki Sushi - both in Sunrise Market on Anthony.
Chrystel: Coney Island, The Brass Rail, and Tall Rabbit!
Rachel: Finally made it to the Oyster Bar! Kara and I had a blast sitting at the bar and trying loads of appetizers. Also, breakfast at Friendly Fox. (They have a great tea, as well.)
